Image analysis adds to the lesson price. Voice input rounds active audio to billing units; generating a reply uses lesson credits separately. Reading an existing reply aloud is free.

A few good questions

What is a Chalk Credit?

Chalk Credits are a simple way to measure AI tutoring usage. A standard whiteboard lesson uses 4 credits. Advanced reasoning, voice, and image analysis use more. The price is based on the feature you choose.

When does my allowance renew?

Your monthly allowance renews on the date your credit cycle began. Free monthly credits reset without accumulating. Paid monthly credits will roll over for one additional cycle within the plan’s cap.

What happens if I run out?

You can still log in, open saved lessons, replay content, and use settings. New tutoring normally requires credits. During the current beta, approved testers can continue with complimentary usage after their balance reaches zero.

Can I buy a plan or extra credits now?

Checkout and credit purchases are not available yet. Join the beta to request access. Paid plans, top-ups, priority processing, and larger file limits will be introduced separately; priority and larger limits are not currently enabled.

What if a response fails?

Credits reserved for a failed Chalk Mentor generation are refunded. Retrying the same request does not charge twice. Viewing earlier answers never consumes credits.

Are prices final?

These are initial prices and allowances. We may adjust them based on beta usage before launching paid subscriptions.
